Carousel Checks NOT an Inexpensive Check Reprinting Service
There are some check printing companies that we recommend. Here is a short list:

Get two boxes, 480 single checks, for $9.32 plus $3.98 for shipping.
They say it is for members but they never ask for a member number. I think they just would like you to sign up for membership. You don't have to do it to get this price.

Carousel Checks is NOT recommended.
We have gotten business and personal checks printed at various check reprint services. Our latest bad experience has been with Carousel Checks. We filled in their on-line form and got our checks fairly promptly. Then we started getting checks that would not be processed by banks returned to us. Turns out that Caousel Checks printed our check information at the bottom of each check incorrectly. They ran together the check number and the account number. No spaces or special characters to separate the numbers. Bank machines could not process.
When contacted, Carousel Checks said that, because we had selected "check number in the middle", the problem was caused by us. Well, we had no idea that selecting that "option" would completely screw up our checks and make them worthless. They offered to print new checks for us for a 20% discount and we would have to pay for shipping the new checks.
We have checked out numerous other check printing companies and see no other company that is giving people this "option" of putting the check number in the middle of the check. We think that they put this "option" in there so that people can make a "mistake" and have to order new checks from them. Highly unscrupulous and we would recommend that you do NOT use Carousel Checks.

First: Bank Routing Number
The first 9 numbers from the left at the bottom of your check are your Bank Routing Number. This number is always 9 digits. Circle these 9 digits.
Secondly: Check Number
Locate the string of numbers at the bottom of your check that matches the Check Number in the upper right-hand corner. This number is usually 4 digits, and may include a zero as the first digit.
Thirdly: Account Number
The numbers that are left - those that are neither the Bank Routing Number nor the Check Number - are your Account Number.
